Originally from Deerfield New Hampshire, LT Hills was commissioned in in the U.S. Coast Guard after graduating from the Coast Guard Academy in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. His first assignment was as Student Engineer and Damage Control Assistant on board CGC Venturous (WMEC-625) in St Petersburg, Florida from June 2010 to May 2012. He then served as Executive Officer on CGC Kiska (WPB -1336) from May 2012 to August 2014. LT Hills then attended the University of Washington, where he graduated in June 2016 with a Master’s in Electrical Engineering. He has been assigned to the Coast Guard Academy as an instructor since August 2016.
