Marine Science Faculty Address Outreach, Climate, and Ocean Literacy at the National Marine Educators Association Conference in Newport, Rhode Island

This summer, marine science faculty members from the Science Department delivered three presentations to a national audience of marine science educators at the annual National Marine Educators Association Conference , Newport, Rhode Island. Talks addressed marine science outreach initiatives and partnerships at the Coast Guard Academy, climate change and the Arctic, and ocean literacy in the core curriculum. Partnering with the Admissions Office, they also hosted a conference exhibit, further drawing attention from teachers nationwide to the Academy’s Marine and Environmental Science program.
